Parent, Baby & Toddler class

This class is for children from 6 months to 2.6 years and they attend with their parent/carer. There are many activities and educational materials for the children to play with and learn from enabling them to interact with each other thereby developing their early social skills.

The class also allows parents to meet other fellow parents, have a coffee and discuss together any issues they might be having with the class teacher and each other. It has also proved to be a great introduction to the school allowing a smooth transition for children when joining the toddler class.

Toddler Class

The children spend time working one to one with the Classroom Leader and are able to explore the classroom, which is filled with various activities and educational materials. Alongside this, the Teaching Assistant will engage with the children doing lots of fun exercises, such as painting, sticking, colouring, water play and sand play. All of these different opportunities encourage a love of learning, independence, freedom and a power of choice thus increasing a child’s self-esteem.

Positive Discipline

From an early age we introduce Positive Discipline, the teachers implement this within the classroom environment to employ kindness and firmness at the same time. It focuses on offering children choices and coming up with solutions instead of punishment and allows the children to communicate through understanding and respect ensuring long term success.
